PPP: Performed in North Carolina

President Barack Obama is on the track that North Carolina, one of the countries more competitive on the map of 2012, according to a new survey of the leaning democratic firm that I survey of public policy was first reported in morning score.

Obama has an approval rating by a good margin in the State, which went for a visit today: 49 percent of voters approve of his job performance, compared to 47% who disapprove. Independent are divided equally in the President, with qualification you positively a 47% to 46% giving negative reviews.

Continue reading Obama has solid contacts on all the Republican candidates except Mitt Romney, who edges by only 1 percentage point. The President is ahead of Tim Pawlenty by 7 points, Newt Gingrich by 10 points and Herman Cain by 11 points. Performs better against Sarah Palin, leading by a margin of 14 points.

PPP flags three key points to help explain the permanent Obama in the Tarheel State: his approval with independent rating, the lack of delivery in the adoption of white voters (37 per cent of whites voted for him in 2008 and 25 per cent now adopt him) and his overwhelming, 76 percent approval rating with the voters under the age of 30.

Interviewers based in Raleigh Dean Debnam and Tom Jensen write: "North Carolina is likely to be much more important for the presidential race, which in 2008 next year." A number of type-approval of Obama in North Carolina is superior to what we are finding for him in their turn by excellence of States such as Pennsylvania, Ohio and Florida. While North Carolina was one of the closest States in the country in 2008, it is simply the cherry on top of Obama by an electoral majority. This time could very well be part of the route of 270 electoral votes to the President. North Carolina is never going to be an as simple as for Obama, especially if Romney is the candidate, but the State should be very competitive in 2012. "

The President is visiting Morrisville, North Carolina, today for a visit to create, Inc., a manufacturer of energy efficient lighting. Full results of the PPP are available here.
